We’re Passionate about Supporting the Arts

At Finch Media we love the arts. In 2019, we introduced the Finch Media Creates grant to support black, Indigenous and people of colour (BIPOC) artists and creators. Our passion for the arts is also why we were so delighted to work with the Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir on the overhaul of their website. The Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir is a diverse amateur, but serious, men’s choir that celebrates the joy of singing.

Creating a Choir Website

The main objectives of the Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir website redesign were to drive ticket sales and member recruitment, incorporate the new positioning and better communicate with target audiences. The Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir wanted a modern website that would adequately showcase the diversity of the choir and effectively communicate with the audience. The choir also wanted to modernize their logo without altering it too much, as they were happy with the existing imagery that depicted a Welsh dragon within the Canadian maple leaf. As part of the project, the logo was enhanced to incorporate a simpler and cleaner design.

The Perks of a [Website Redesign] Job!

The Vancouver Welsh Men’s Choir is a professional choir that brings joy to their audiences with seasonal performances across the Lower Mainland. This year, performances take place for Remembrance Day, Christmas and Spring Celtic concerts. During the website redesign project, we were lucky enough to catch the last few minutes of a choir rehearsal. To say we were blown away is an understatement! The sound that emanated from the hall was truly celestial and we’re excited to hear more throughout the concert season. Social Media: To Engage & Connect

The choir are keen to engage with their audiences through their social media channels, so we created a social media calendar to support this and we worked with some choir members to share our best practices for social media.
