Down syndrome BC (DSBC) needed to raise public and media awareness around the BC Coroner’s Inquest into the death of Florence Girard, a woman with Down syndrome who died while under care. The goal was to draw attention to systemic gaps in the health and social care system, ensure respectful and accurate coverage, and amplify calls for change.
